Study associations
Throughout Delft, every study has its own study association. These associations are runned by students, who organize a lot of activities related to their study. Excursions to companies, symposia, lectures and even study travels are a few things they organize. The associations publish multiple kinds of magazines and books, for their members. They support the students of their faculty in as many ways as possible.
But Study associations are not just for serious business. They try to offer as much possibilities as possible for their students to make new friends. They organize a study association weekend for all the new students to meet your fellow students and to feel at home in your new faculty. This weekend is organized before the OWee starts. During this weekend you can meet people with who you would like to form a group for the OWee. Besides the study association weekend, most of the associations have a pub where you can get a few drinks and they organize multiple parties every year. All study associations are connected trough the StudieVerenigingenRaad (SVR).
